GM/CA@APS user wins the 2025 Nichols Medal from the American Chemical Society

Prof. Benjamin F. Cravatt

GM/CA@APS user, Prof. Benjamin F. Cravatt of Scripps Research, has been awarded the 2025 William H. Nichols Medal by the New York Local section of the American Chemical Society (ACS). His pioneering efforts in developing activity-based protein profiling and advancing covalent drug discovery were cited in the announcement. Since 1903, the ACS has awarded the Nichols Medal to recipients annually for original contributions to the field, where past recipients have included 20 Nobel Laureates and 33 National Medal of Science awardees. Prof. Cravatt's group has used data collected at several synchrotron beamlines including those of GM/CA@APS.
