User Program - Reverse Site Visits

Due to the increase in remote operations, we have started the "Reverse-site Visit" Program, to reestablish closer communication between the beamline staff and our user community. This involves a team of 2 to 3 GM/CA personnel visiting a selected University for detailed training in old and new features available at the beamlines, as well as fundamentals of data collection. If you are interested in having us visit your institution, please contact us at [email protected].

The visit will cover a 1 to 2 day period that includes:

Lectures on concepts and a practical guide to diffraction data collection.
Specifics about our beamlines.
Introduction and training on the use of features in the GM/CA JBluIce GUI.
Training on the automated data processing feature in JBluIce.
Remote data collection using your own samples.
Q/A session answering spontaneous as well as questions communicated prior to the visit.
